Alto Saxophonist MARTIN SPEAKE makes his first appearance at Bexley this evening with his Trio. This unusal Trio of Alto, Guitar & Drums brings together all of Martin's musical influences. He is joined by :

NADIM TEIMOORI - Surely no greater tribute can be paid to this fine and talented young Tenor Saxophonist than to remember he had the great honour of performing at Stan Tracey's Funeral Service December 2013 - alongside Steve Melling and Andy Cleyndert.

GORDON CAMPBELL - Master Jazz Trombonist - has been heavily influenced by the great jazz trombonists of the past - frequently giving Concerts featuring their work. This will be another of those very special evenings when Gordon will take us through the Jazz Trombone years - from Kid Ory to today.

SARAH MOULE is one of Britain's foremost interpreters of modern song - although she is clearly influenced by jazz phrasing. Her truly outstanding voice will get under your skin. She has said "I really fell in love with jazz listening to Thelonius Monk"......"and then I discovered fantastic writers like Lorenz Hart and Johnny Mercer."
SIMON WALLACE - Sarah's husband, Composer, Pianist and Musical Director has, over the years, written and produced music for Shows such as Absolutely Fabulous, French & Saunders, Rub Wax etc etc. In contrast, he has written a 5 Movement Symphony for the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. The 4th CD he has made with Sarah Moule will be released in September 2014. Simon can frequently be seen at Ronnie Scotts, the 606 Club, The Vortex etc etc.
This evening's rythmn section is completed with the superb Mark Hodgson/bass and the perfect "vocalists drummer" - Rod Brown.

ALAN BARNES - Our very own, truly world-class multi, multi award winning musician who, in 2001 & 2006 was also awarded the prestigious BBC Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year Award. Alan Barnes has done it all - played with them all - including a 3 month US tour with Warren Vache and his eleven piece band - for which Alan wrote most of the arrangements.
With Alan this evening is the one and only JOHN PEARCE on keyboards - NEVILLE MALCOLM on bass - and ROD YOUNGS on drums. Both Neville and Rod are also part of Dave Lewis's 1up Band.
